David Bellefeuille-Roussel
Born from professional musician parents, David has been immersed in music since birth. Growing up in a multicultural gospel church, David was introduced very early to the musical variety learning blues, gospel, afrobeat and Latin music from his first notes. David began private lessons in music theory at the age of 15 with the illustrious saxophonist Jean Morin.
Later, still a teenager, David made a musical journey towards hardcore metal where he founded and joined several bands. His journey in this universe led him to have a record produced by an American label followed by several North American tours in cities such as Toronto, New York, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Chicago and Milwaukee.
As a young adult, David returned to his roots by starting gospel music again in churches and taking courses in jazz interpretation. Several projects would follow, such as a soulful house music band and the support of several local and international artists in both gospel and secular circles, on several stages across Canada. David has also been artistic director and musical director for several major concerts. He is a songwriter and passionate about his main instrument, electric bass.
